Innovative Powertrain

The Mazda CX-90’s base engine is a vigorous e-SKYACTIV-G 3.3L turbocharged inline-6, producing 280 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. The “e” in e-SKYACTIV-G represents a small electric motor that improves performance and fuel efficiency using M Hybrid Boost technology. It supports the engine in less demanding driving conditions and recharges its battery using regenerative braking. Higher trim levels offer a tuned version of the engine with an improved power output of 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.

AWD and Four Drive Modes

All CX-90 trim levels feature a rear-biased all-wheel drive (AWD) system that receives power via an engaging shiftable 8-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can also switch between four drive modes with the standard Mi-Drive Technology. Normal mode provides balanced performance for daily commuting, Sport improves throttle response, Off-road prepares the SUV to go beyond the pavement, and the available Towing mode improves towing prowess.

Impressive Towing Capacity

You can pull a trailer weighing 3,500 lbs with the CX-90, and you can do so with confidence thanks to standard technology features such as trailer stability assist and the rearview monitor. Higher trim levels, such as the Turbo S Premium, can tow up to 5,000 lbs when in Towing mode.

Upscale Interior

Even at entry level, the Mazda CX-90 outcompetes most European midsize SUVs in luxury and comfort. Leatherette seats are standard with an 8-way power adjustment function for the driver. The second and third rows feature well-cushioned 60/40 split-folding seats, providing enough space for 6 adults. In total, the SUV seats eight in a 2:3:3 configuration and provides three-zone climate control to allow passengers to adjust their individual comfort settings.

High-quality materials, such as leather, cover several cabin surfaces, including the steering wheel and shift knob on the base model. The Turbo S Premium Plus trim adds quilted Nappa leather seating surfaces and faux suede door panel inserts.

Large Infotainment Screen

The CX-90 features a 10.25-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to entertain passengers. Mazda Connect allows drivers to access the integrated navigation system, which can be operated using voice commands to avoid distractions. Higher trim levels offer a 12.3-inch screen with wireless smartphone connectivity.
