Regular maintenance ensures that your Mazda always works at peak performance. it also reduces long-term repair costs, as we can identify minor issues and fix them before they become serious problems. As your Vancouver, WA, Mazda Dealer, we want to tell you about some of the types of Mazda maintenance we can provide.
Examples of Mazda Maintenance Available at Your Mazda Dealership
Cooling System Service
Your Mazda’s cooling works to control your engine temperature. Combustion and the constant movement of hundreds of components generate large amounts of heat, and excessive engine temperatures can damage sensitive components like seals and gaskets. As time passes, heat, pressure, and constant usage causes wear and tear and potential cooling system failure.
This service prevents all of these problems. We drain the old coolant, then pressure test the cooling system to ensure it’s airtight and has no leaks. If we discover a leak, we’ll repair it. We also test each of the cooling system components, including the water pump, thermostat, and radiator. We then refill the coolant.
Brake Service
A healthy brake system is essential to allow you to drive safely. It gives you complete control over your speeds at all times and allows you to quickly stop your Mazda in an emergency. The braking system operates under hot and pressurized conditions, and certain components, like the brake pads, gradually wear down as they work and need replacement.
Our technicians remove and replace your brake pads to improve braking efficiency and speed. The wheel rotors, which are the flat disks visible behind your tires, can become rusted or worn over time and need resurfacing. This process turns the rotors smooth and flat again and improves braking speed. We also check the brake hoses and lines for leaks and test every braking component to ensure they’re working correctly.
Wheel Alignment Service
Wheel alignment is the angle of your wheels to the ground as seen front the front and looking down. The specific angles of the wheels are known as camber, caster, and toe-in. Correct alignment is essential, as it reduces unnecessary tire wear, brings your wheels to a faster stop, and prevents damage to your axles, struts, and shocks.
We use a computerized alignment machine to correct alignment issues. All four of your Mazda’s wheels are connected to the system, which is programmed with the correct alignment angles for every Mazda model. The computer makes a series of adjustments to each wheel to bring it back to the correct alignment. It’s a relatively quick and inexpensive process and saves you even more money by preventing avoidable repairs.
